Can I use my existing phone number?
Yes you can. We will organise for your incoming calls to automatically divert to our 1300 number. All you need to do is provide your authorisation.
What hours is the service available?
Our lines are open from 8am until 6pm, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. With our inclusive package we can also offer emergency availability outside these hours, so there will always be somebody available to answer your calls.
What are the associated costs?
We offer three specific packages, with the associated costs ranging from $200 to $600 per month. We can also discuss your requirements and tailor a specialised package to meet your needs, and negotiate on the price.
How are payments made?
We invoice on a monthly basis and offer all the usual payment options – EFT, credit card or cheque. However, we do not accept payments made by BPAY.
How does the appointment calendar work?
We set up a calendar that is continually accessible to both the mi-Transcriptions team and the consultant. It is a live, up-to-the-second document, so you will always be aware of how your diary is looking.
What happens if the caller has a more complex enquiry or needs to contact the practitioner urgently?
We work with each consultant to determine the parameters, rules and workflow required. Basically, we set up a service tailored to your needs. We will work with you to develop procedures for every kind of call.
How does the process work if the practitioner doesn’t have a staff member on-site to greet patients?
Each time we make an appointment, we will provide the relevant arrival instructions to the patient. We will work with each consultant to develop an arrivals procedure that suits them.
Can we use your services when existing staff members are on leave?
Absolutely. We can organise for you to utilise the mi-Reception service on an ad-hoc basis to cover periods of annual leave or sickness.
